TOURS FOR CHOIRS & ORCHESTRAS

Do you want to enjoy a spectacular and unforgettable experience with your orchestra, choir or band?
Then plan a musical trip to Italy! You will perform in beautiful venues while discovering a fascinating country.

We have organized music tours in Italy for the past six years and the range of venues, hotels, special visits we can offer is growing every year! Have a look at the topics listed below, and do not hesitate to ask for a personalized proposal for your own group that exactly fits your artistic level, group size, travelling option and formula: whether you already have your programme ready and are mostly interested in performing concerts and discovering Italy, or whether you prefer to spend a week in a quiet location to rehearse and terminate your stay with concerts... just ask!

We have a range of venues for you to perform in, the choice will depend on your itinerary, the season, the size of your ensemble, and your repertoire (churches often require a sacred programme only). In our experience, if is often less expensive and more rewarding to perform outside big cities, where the cultural offer is quite extensive and concerts of foreign unknown ensembles can be snobbed, whereas in villages your concert is considered as a big event and the welcome is usually warmer.

If you need to rent instruments, of if you are missing that special trumpet or double-bass player, please let us know, we will do our best to help you find one on the spot.

Here are a few examples of the venues we can offer:

     Fortezza di Montalcino (SI)

Chiesa di Sant'Agostino, San Gimignano (SI)

asciano Basilica Sant'Agata, Asciano (SI)

pian di sco Pieve di Santa Maria, Pian di Scò (AR)

gorgonza Castello di Gargonza, Monte San Savino (AR)

appenino Villa Demidoff, Parco di Pratolino (FI)

rocce Giardino Garzoni, Collodi (PT)

rocce Chiesa San Pietro, Perugia

We can help you find the best accommodation for your group, according to the number of participants, the standard, price, location and facilities required (room for rehearsals, hotels or apartments, …). In our experience, countryside “agriturismi” are best for group cohesion and artistic residences, while city hotels are preferable for sightseeing. A combination of both in the same itinerary is of course possible!

Villa Francesca, San Donato in Poggio Hotel Toscana Verde, Laterina (AR)

san casciano Tenuta il Corno – San Casciano (FI)

azienda marengo - monte san savino Azienda Marengo – Monte San Savino (AR)

instiituto gould - florence Istituto Gould – Florence

   Hotel Excelsior - Siena

hotel la principina - grosseto Hotel La Principina - Grosseto

hotel la rosetta Hotel La Rosetta - Perugia

Tenuta di Fassia - Gubbio (PG)

If you arrive in Italy by plane or train, we can help find a coach for your group, with the advantage of a local driver who knows the places and complicated procedures that regard the access to the historical centre of most cities in Italy. If you arrive with your own coach, we will coordinate the itinerary with your driver to help with local roads, parkings, permits to access the art cities, etc.

If you have heavy instruments to transport, it might be useful to have a small van to access as close as possible to the venues and hotels. Let us coordinate that with you depending on your actual itinerary and programme of concerts.

In order to ensure you a smooth trip in Italy, it is essential that one of our staff stay with your group during the whole tour, coordinating all details of your transportation, accommodation, concerts, visits... and solve day-to-day issues that might occur. All our tour escorts have several years experience in accompanying musical groups and speak your own language plus Italian. They will work hand-to-hand with us, on the one side, and with your own tour leaders, on the other side, ensuring an enjoyable, stress-free trip for everyone.

Your itinerary will depend on many factors: the number of days of your tour, the number and location of your concert venues, the number and ages of your participants, and whether you are looking for great classics or off-the-beaten-track visits (this is especially true for groups who are coming for the 2nd or 3rd time...). If you wish, we can send you 3 examples of one-week tours in Tuscany and Umbria, to give you a first idea of what a music tour created by Musicando Italy would look like.

  • Tuscany "Great Classics" with visits to Pisa, Volterra, Lucca, the seaside, Siena, San Gimignano, Florence and three concerts to be held for example in Collodi, San Gimignano and Pian di Scò.
  • Tuscany "Glimpses of Heaven" with visits to Niki de Saint Phalle's Tarots Garden, the seaside, Valdorcia, Sant'Antimo Abbey, Montalcino's Fortress, Massa Marittima, Siena, Arezzo, Florence and three concerts to be held for example in Montalcino, Massa Marittima and San Giovanni Valdarno.
  • Umbria "Hidden Treasures" with visits to Orvieto, Todi, Spoleto, Spello, Perugia, Gubbio, Arezzo, Cortona, Assisi and three concerts to be held for example in Todi, Gubbio and Perugia.

But of course ALL music tours must be adapted to perfectly suit your group, therefore these are intended only as sample itineraries. Please send us an email to receive a copy of these or to ask for a proper offer for your group.
