VANESSA CHANSONI was born and bred in Switzerland but always had a passion for Italy, that I cultivated year after year until I finally settled down in Florence in March 2005, making my lifetime dream come true. After my translation studies at Geneva's university (French, English, Italian) and a diploma in tourism, I started working for a tour operator specialized in Mediterranean countries. Then I worked for an event organisation company, managing golf tournaments in 8 European countries. The next step was the position of “culture promoter” at Geneva Tourist Office, where I grew familiar with concert promotion. Then I moved to Italy to first organize youth orchestra tours in Tuscany, and then to become product manager of the monthly guides for tourists “Florence News” and "Siena Eventi". On the musical side, I started studying the violin at the age of 7, going on for 15 years until getting the “Certificat d'Etudes Terminales” at Geneva's Conservatory. Since the age of 15 I have been playing in orchestras and chamber music ensembles in Switzerland, England and Italy, getting a thorough knowledge of “playing music for pleasure”. In Musicando Italy, I put all the abilities I have gained in 13 years of professional experience, plus my passion for music and Italy, that I am eager to pass on to anyone who comes on a musical trip here.
